Customer payments

Every dollar a diver pays goes through WeTravel escrow, never mixed with Dorado's business funds. WeTravel is purpose-built for group travel and holds deposits in segregated trust accounts until the supplier is paid. This satisfies state Seller of Travel trust requirements and matches industry best practice. The arrangement is documented on every customer T&C and shop partnership agreement.

Dive accident insurance

Every diver on every Dorado trip carries DAN Dive Accident Insurance. It costs around $40 a year for a basic plan and covers chamber treatment, evacuation, and follow-up care for diving incidents. Without it, a single decompression event can mean a $50,000 chamber bill the diver would otherwise have to cover personally. We verify each diver's policy before final balance is due. Travel insurance with Cancel For Any Reason is offered separately on every booking; it's the only mechanism that protects a diver against a personal cancellation outside the published refund schedule.

Cancellations

Cancellation policies follow the wholesaler's terms, which we publish on every trip page. Diver-initiated cancellations are governed by the published payment schedule and refund policy. Operator- or weather-initiated cancellations are handled per the wholesaler's contract, with credits or refunds passed through to the diver.
